Resilient Future Counseling is committed to providing equitable access to evidence based trauma informed treatment
Rebecca Hoke founded Resilient Future Counseling after more than five years with another private practice
Resilient Future Counseling (RFC) acknowledges and honors the Indigenous Peoples with historic and contemporary ties to the land that is now known as Colorado. We recognize that our agency and operations are situated on the traditional territories and ancestral homelands of the Ute, Arapaho, Cheyenne, Diné (di-NAY), Lakota, Apache, Puebloan, and other Native nations. These tribes are the original stewards of these natural areas and have faced devastating impacts due to removal and forced assimilation, which are part of our shared history that continues to influence their health and well-being today.
As part of our commitment to enhancing behavioral health services, RFC is dedicated to understanding and integrating the knowledge, traditions, and practices of Indigenous Peoples to better serve all communities in Colorado. Our acknowledgment is an initial step toward addressing the historical and ongoing impacts of colonization, and it reflects our commitment to making our services more inclusive and responsive to the needs of Indigenous communities.
We will further this commitment by:
Recognizing and Valuing Indigenous Knowledge - Incorporating traditional healing practices and community wisdom into our programs and services wherever possible.
Educating and Training - Enhancing our staff's understanding of Indigenous histories and current issues specific to Colorado and the United States, ensuring culturally sensitive and informed care.
Engaging and Collaborating - Building meaningful relationships with tribal nations and Indigenous organizations to support their health priorities and improve access to culturally appropriate behavioral health services.
Supporting Indigenous Community Success - Facilitating pathways for the professional and personal development of Indigenous individuals in the health and mental health fields.
This acknowledgment serves as a reminder of our responsibility to the past, present, and future, and it is part of our ongoing effort to ensure the well-being of Indigenous communities with historic and contemporary ties to the land here in Colorado and across this nation.
